A Mitsubishi Triton 1997 GLX Automatic Double Dual Cab

I am selling my trusty work horse. It has been a great vehicle for me and I am reluctant to sell it. The only problem is we keep having children so I need something with a lot more seats. I'm getting a troopy. This is a great ute. I have taken very good care of it mechanically. The last couple of months has been pretty hectic though so there are a couple of things I haven't got to yet. There is a full service history right to the end of the service history book at 210000ks. The inside of the vehcle is very clean. Like I said, I take very good care of it. The outside shows her age and miles.

INTERIOR:
Almost perfect. Feels like driving a car. Nice and neat, power steering, ice cold A/C. Good stereo with MP3 WMA and AUX plugin. Feels like a vehicle with 30,000ks on it not 300,000.

EXTERIOR:
Has all the stuff you need to get the job done; Driving Lights, Bull Bar, Heavy Duty Roof Racks, Locking Canopy, and a Tow Bar. I have never paid much attention to the exterior though. It has all kinds of bumps and scratches all over. But there is no rust anywhere that I can find. Paint is getting pretty ordinary and it looks like the clear coat is coming off in places. The racks and the tow bar were all professionally installed by the ARB dealer down in penrith and are really heavy duty. If you are looking for a vehicle that looks nice this is not the car for you. If you are looking for a vehicle that you can park on a worksite and not be worried about a bobcat running into it, then put in a bid now.

MECHANICAL:
I have been meticulous about taking care of this vehicle. It is my firm belief that if you look after a vehicle, it will look after you. I took her down to the local mechanic a couple of months ago and told them to go over everything... drive line, steering, cooling, transmission... everything. When my wife picked it up for me, the mechanic told her that it was the most well maintained vehicle he had seen. He also said he could not fault it at all. I basically gave him a blank check and he couldn't find anything to do with it. Now that is the good news, here is the bad. When I was taking the photos, I noticed that the front driverside tyre was worn on the inside. This means that it will need a wheel allignment. Also, the starter motor has been starting to go out for the last year or so. It is not bad and that is why I haven;t really worried about it. About once every 5 - 10 times you go to start it, the starter will miss. But it always starts on the second go. It is about $200 for a starter. Finally, if I wasn't selling it, I would do a complete service on it. This however can be your responsibility. Plugs, leads, filters etcetera. I really believe this engine will go forever if you treat it right. The only other thing I can think of is that it is a little bit on the ticky side when you start it up. It takes a minute or two for the oil to work its way up to the top of the engine. This is a common problem with these engines and is caused by a design flaw that doesn't allow enough oil to move up quick enough. You can reduce this by using thinner oil, but the only way to really solve it is too pull off the top end and bore the hole wider. This is a lot of work and can wait until you need to pull the top end off for some other reason.
