A PATTERN BOOK OF TATTING - Mary Konior - HC

1985

95 paged hardcover book in good condition.

Ranging from dainty to heavy laces and from simple to elaborate styles here is proof that tatting is a lace form which stands on merit alongside needlepoint and bobbin techniques. It is a book that will interest both experienced tatters and beginners who have never before attempted to make shuttle lace. Two basic methods are explained with diagrams and there are extra techniques which will enable tatters to improve their standard of work.

The pattern collection comprises 60 new designs by the author, with full working instructions and many photographs enlarged to show important pattern detail. Patterns which are especially suitable for beginners are identified and there are suggestions for using the laces in a modern context.

28 drawings and diagrams - 65 photographs
