The book includes interesting anecdotes and information about the elephants at the park as well Sangduen ‘Lek’ Chailert, the founder of the park.

Author, Kelli Mlinarik, spent many wonderful hours in the kitchen with Lek and her staff, chopping, frying, grinding, tasting and writing furiously.  Thai food is a celebration of flavor, colour, and community! The cuisine offered at Elephant Nature Park has received rave reviews from guests from around the world, many agreeing that it is the best Thai food in Chiang Mai.  Now you can prepare these dishes at home, while at the same time making a donation to a very worthwhile cause. All proceeds from the sale of this book will go to Elephant Nature Park to support their ongoing efforts to protect and care for their elephants, educate the public, and advocate better treatment of elephants in Asia.
