The aim of this small book, delicately illustrated by David Stacey, is to indicate to the readers the beauty, fragility and intricacy of one of Australia's natural assets - a natural heritage that covers less than one quarter of one percent of her land mass and yet houses well over fifty percent of all her plant and animal life.  Of the mere two million hectares of rainforest throughout the nation one million occurs within the State of Queensland.

This 52 page softcover is illustrated with black and white drawings and measures approximately 15 x 21 cm.  The cover and first page has some insect damage, including small holes (3 small on front & 1 small one on back) - please see photograph, but is otherwise in a good, tight, clean condition.  An interesting read and beautifully illustrated.
