THE ABORIGINAL CHILDREN'S HISTORY OF AUSTRALIA 2nd Ed. 1981. Hard cover. (1st published 1979, 2nd ed. 1981.) Rigby Publishers Ltd
"This is a unique book. It is the story of Australia as told & illustrated by the Aboriginal children of Australia" - Wand Juk Marika - Chairman, Aboriginal Arts Board.
Fascinating portrayal of how Australian Aboriginal children see our/their culture over a hundred large size colour reproductions of their paintings, fully acknowledged per "artist", at back of the book. Rich, colourful, sometimes disturbing, and, in our opinion, talented (in a children's sense?).
Condition: Hardback, no dust cover, large format (24cm by 26cm), 149 pages, heavy gsm paper, with the assistance of the Aboriginal Arts Board of the Australia Council. Front & back cover a bit grubby, spine sound, but showing wear, all pages very good to excellent. Cover good +.
