Graphics Upgrades:

Some computers have the ability for a video card upgrade, if this is the case, you will see 'Graphics Cards' under the upgrades section to the right.

All computers have a built in video card, which is sufficient for most uses. But if you are intending to use programs that need better graphics, a video card upgarde is for you.

An upgraded video card would be necessary for using a larger monitor if you need a big resolution, and it helps with graphics intensive programs including games, and other advanced programs, such as video editing or some photo editing software.

Software Upgrades:

Please note that if your computer has a CD or DVD burner installed, you can burn data onto CDs or DVDs with the software built in to Windows XP. However, if you are wanting an easier to use program that is able to also copy CDs and DVDs you will need the Nero 7 Software.

The Norton Antivirus 2009 software upgrade is the latest version of the worlds most popular antivirus software and offers a complete automatic antivirus and antispyware protection package. It includes 'Norton Pulse™ Updates' to ensure that your computer is protected against even the most recently released threats.

Microsoft Works 9 is available as an upgrade on all computers sold. It is a step up from the free OpenOffice that is installed on all computers, and offers basic versions of Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as a heap of organisation software to help simplify household tasks. Complete Office Suite:

The OpenOffice 2.0 Suite is a free alternative to Microsoft Office. It is completely compatiable with Microsoft Office documents, and includes a word processor, presentation tool, and spreadsheet application, as well as a few other useful programs.

By using OpenOffice on our computers instead of Microsoft Office, we can greatly reduce our costs (A license just to install Office legally costs over $100 per computer!).

We do however offer Microsoft Works 9.0 as an upgrade with all systems. Microsoft Works is an office suite that includes Microsoft Word, as well as a host of other helpful applications. Please see the 'Software' section above for more information about Works.

AVG Antivirus Suite:

AVG Virus Protection: The best free virus checker available, offers protection against viruses and spyware.

Windows Media Player 11: Play music, videos, DVDs (if a DVD player is installed) and podcasts on your computer.

Web Browser:

Internet Explorer 7: Browse the internet with the latest Microsoft web browser (includes tabbed web page support).

Windows Live Messenger: Keep in touch with friends with that latest version of Messenger (previously MSN Messenger).

All desktop and laptop computers sold by RPCW come with a 30-day complete warranty (unless otherwise stated).

Technical support via telephone or email is available for the first 30 days for no cost.

If your computer develops a problem within 30 days from the date of purchase (and provided the problem cannot be fixed via email or phone), you can return the item and it will be repaired or replaced absolutely free of charge.

If we are unable to repair the item and a replacement is not available, we will refund the full cost of your purchase, including postage costs.

The 30 day warranty does not include accidental damage (ie. coffee spills etc), or software issues (forgotten passwords, viruses etc).

Please ensure that your payment is made within 3 days of purchase. If you are unable to pay within 3 days, please let us know! We don't mind waiting for payment as long as we are kept informed.
