  UP FOR AUCTION IS THE FORD FALCON XB GT COUPE AS RACED IN THE 1977 AUSTRALIAN TOURING CAR CHAMPIONSHIP, TO A TRIUMPHANT WIN BY ALLAN MOFFAT. ALLAN THIS YEAR TOOK OUT THE ELEVEN ROUND CHAMPIONSHIP WITH 7 WINS AND A SECOND PLACE WITH A TOTAL OF 106 POINT'S.

  OF THE ELEVEN RACES FOR THE 1977 CHAMPIONSHIP, THE TWO MOFFAT FORD DEALER TEAM CARS WON EIGHT ROUNDS AND SECOND IN SIX OF THEM, THEREBY GIVING MOFFAT THE CROWN FOR THE THIRD TIME AND BOND THE RUNNER UP TITLE. SO IT WAS A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR ALLAN MOFFAT, COLIN BOND, CARROLL SMITH(THE AMERICAN TEAM MANAGER) AND THE MOFFAT DEALER TEAM.

  THIS IS A 1/18 SCALE VERSION OF THE CAR WHICH WAS RELEASED BY AUTOART AND BIANTE OF CAR #1 AS MODEL NUMBER 6 IN THE ALLAN MOFFAT COLLECTION.

  NOWHERE IN THE YEARS FROM 1969 TO 1982, WHEN THE CHAMPIONSHIP BECAME A SERIES OF RACES, HAD A CAR OR TEAM DOMINATED TO THE EXTENT THAT HIS TEAM DID DURING 1977. THIS CAR WILL TAKE PRIDE OF PLACE AMONG THIS UNIQUE COLLECTION THAT REFLECT THE FABULOUS YEARS OF TOURING CAR RACING DURING THE 60'S AND 70'S. PLEASE READ POSTAGE AND PAYMENT BEFORE PURCHASE.
