Ease of Use

Because it is a triturating juicer rather than a macerating juicer, the Angel
doesn't 'grab' or 'bite off'' chunks of carrot or apple. It requires a little
more feed effort than the Matstone or the Oscar, and is very similar to the
Kempo.
Ease of Cleaning
The Angel has only 3 main components needing proper cleaning. (2 augers,
juicing screen). The plunger and the screen cover need a rinse, as does the
attachment point on the juicer.
The Kempo's cleaning is far more complex and it has nooks and crannies where
juice pulp catches. As already mentioned, it also needs a double cleanup if you
are making a combo cocktail. A special 'toothpick' tool is even supplied and
must be kept handy, whereas the Angel can use any normal kitchen brush and
bottlebrush (one is supplied). The Oscar and Matstone have simpler cleansing
requirements than the Kempo.
Lifetime
Given that the Angel costs more than all the other units we need to know how
long it's going to keep supplying us with health-supporting enzyme packed
juices. The Angel is the only stainless steel juicer on the market. It has a big
motor that runs far more slowly than the Kempo (which should mean greater enzyme
saving ability). It also has every required safety feature as required for its
international CE certification. A 5 year motor warranty is offered on this
robust system, over and above the normal 2 year parts and labour warranty.

for Money
In terms of the value for money, the ongoing cost of fruit & vegetable is
critical. Below is a test to ascertain how many grams of carrot juice was
created from 300g of carrots.
The Angel yielded 212 grams,
The Kempo yielded 139 grams only 64% of the Angel's output.
The waste pulp from the Kempo was then taken and passed it through the Angel -
this gave another 70 grams of carrot juice. Based on the tests, and calculating the cost of one 250ml. carrot juice per
day for a family of four, the Angel would save you over $7000 over 5 years,
(compared with output from the same amount of carrots in a Kempo juicer in the
tests).
The twin gears in the Super Angel are bigger and longer than any

Tips to maximize effective juicing with your Super Angel Juicer
The Super Angel Juicer's twin gears are designed to operate at a slow RPM in
order to keep almost 100% of the enzymes and nutrients alive during the juicing
process. The Super Angel Juicer is the only juicer on the market that limits
twin gear speeds to 82 RPM. Accordingly, to maintain the juicer's effectiveness
you should not overload the feeding chute. Doing so may cause the gears to jam
and limit maximum enzyme and nutrient extraction.
Juicing Tips
1. Completely depress food into the feeding chute with the wooden pusher and
then feed additional food: Don't worry about depressing the wooden pusher till
it touches the twin It will not harm the gears or plunger.
(The plunger is made from the same high quality wood as those found in fine
chopping blocks. Any accidental particles of cellulose scrapped off from contact
with the twin gears are natural and non-toxic and will harmlessly pass through
with the pulp.)
2. If jamming occurs: press and hold the 'Reverse' Button for 2 to 3 seconds (or
press and hold down as required until it clears) and then press the 'Start'
Button to continue juicing. Depending on the severity of the jam, you may need
to repeat this process 2 or more times.
3. Do not apply excessive force (pressure) while pushing food down into the
feeding chute. Moderate pressure is required to avoid jamming or getting
stuck.
Helpful Hints for juicing particular Fruits and Vegetables
Carrots:
Cutting carrots isn't necessary as long as the diameters fit
into the feeding chute. However for best results, we suggest you cut the carrots
lengthwise into 5 to 6 inches parts and always insert the thinner part first as
it would be grabbed more effectively by the twin gears. Insert a piece after one
piece is crushed down completely. Do not put a number of small chopped pieces of
carrots at a time into the feeding chute, otherwise it will get stuck. * Do not apply excessive force (pressure) while pushing food down into
the feeding chute. Moderate pressure is required to avoid jamming or getting
stuck.
Dandelion, Parsley, Endive or other leafy greens:
By feeding small,
handful amounts at a time, the leafy greens will be self-fed into the juicer by
the twin gears. Insert the stem (stalk) part of the leafy greens first for
self-feeding.
Wheat grass:
Feed small, handful amounts of wheat grass into the feeding
chute. The wooden pusher may not be necessary as the wheat grass will be
self-fed into the machine as long as appropriate amounts are fed at a time. Do
not overload.
Grains and Beans
must be soaked for 6 hours or more before grinding.
Instructions included with juicer. Note: the Angel Juicer is not a grain
grinder however.
Soak nuts in water for 6-12 hours for
Nut Butters. Instructions included
with juicer.

Please be aware of the following information:
The Australian model is Angelia 2506 - it is the ONLY type of Angel
Juicer available in Australia.
The US model is Angelia 7000 and is identical to the Australian 2506 model
(except for different power standards).
The other model number you may have encountered, the Angelia 5000 model, has a
shorter auger system than the 2506 & 7000 and will not extract as much juice as
the longer augers. It is NOT available in Australia.

Green juices
cleanse the body of pollutants and have a rejuvenating effect. Made
from a variety of green vegetables, green juices are rich in
chlorophyll, which helps to purify the blood, build red blood cells,
detoxify and heal the body, and provide the body with fast energy.
Green juices can be made with alfalfa sprouts, cabbage, kale,
dandelion greens, spinach, and other green vegetables, including
wheatgrass. To sweeten and dilute your green juices, try adding
fresh carrot and apple juice. Although green juices have great
health benefits, they should be consumed in moderation. Try drinking
about 250 - 300 ml (8 to 10 ounces) a day - a little less than an
average sized can of drink.
Wheatgrass juice is nature’s great healer. Thirty ml of
freshly squeezed juice contains as much nutritional value as
approximately one kilo of fresh green vegetables in vitamin, mineral
and amino acid content.
How to Drink It Ann Wigmore suggests drinking wheatgrass juice in small amounts
throughout the course of the day, always on an empty, or nearly empty stomach.
In general, 60ml - 120ml (two to four ounces) every day or every other day is sufficient.
Slowly sipping small quantities of the juice gives your body an opportunity to
get used to its taste and effects. Taking 30ml - 60 ml (one ounce to two
ounce) drinks
straight, or mixed with other juices (fruit & vegetable) and sipping slowly
will help prevent nausea or stomach upset. On a healing regime, Ann suggests
you drink 30ml - 60 ml (one or two ounces) up to three or four times a day, with one day of
rest periodically.

What is living juice?
The concept of living juice was first introduced by Dr. Norman Walker (1874-1983). Walker declared that the enzymes in fruit and vegetables die at temperatures which exceed 50 degrees Celsius. Walker explained that any juice extractor that used high-speed blade or centrifuge created friction heat leading to the destruction of enzymes.
In 1930 Walker designed the 'Norwalk' juicing machine. This is still sold today for $A5,500. Until the early 1990's the Norwalk remained the only machine that produced a living juice. After Walker retired, Max Gerson took over his work and won a Nobel Prize for his achievements using living juice therapies for people with cancer.
'Living juice' retains the integrity of minerals and enzymes. Similar to whole fruits and vegetables, the juice extracted by the gentle crushing of the cell wall (without exposure to massive amounts of air which is sucked into centrifugal juicers), is alive with all that is needed to keep the elements
living.

Sprouts are one of the most complete and nutritionally
beneficial of all foods. Their nutritional value was discovered by the

example, a sprouted Mung Bean has the carbohydrate content of a melon,
vitamin A of a lemon, thiamine of an avocado, riboflavin of a dry apple,

some types of cancer.
Sprouts are the most reliable year-round source of vitamin C,
beta-carotene, and many B vitamins (such as folacin). Sprouting seeds,
grains, and legumes greatly increases their content of those vitamins. For
example, the vitamin A content (per calorie) of sprouted Mung beans is
two-and-a-half times higher than the dry bean, and some beans have more
than eight times more vitamin A after being sprouted. Sprouts preserve our
body's enzymes, which is extremely important. How do they do this?
Sprouted beans, grains, nuts, and seeds are extremely easy to digest.
Sprouting essentially pre-digests the food for us by breaking down the
concentrated starch into simpler carbohydrates and the protein into free
amino acids, so our own enzymes don't have to work so hard. Sprouting also
removes anti-nutrients such as enzyme inhibitors, and that makes sprouts
even easier to digest, further sparing enzymes. Another anti-nutrient is
phytates, which is what stops some people from enjoying grains such as
wheat. Many people who can't eat un-sprouted wheat find they can eat all
the sprouted wheat they want with no problem
Almost any vegetable or grain can be consumed from sprouts. Broccoli,
canola, cauliflower, and mustard greens sprouts are loaded with vitamins,
minerals, protein, enzymes, and chlorophyll. In a recent study, 1 oz. of
broccoli sprouts had the same cancer-fighting power as over 1½ pounds of
fully-grown broccoli.
