If you love to journal, this book is for you. The book starts you off with a small statement and gives you tons of room to respond. I found it to be a terrific way to document my pregnancy. I initially thought I would not find the time to write in it but I found the prompts made it so easy to write and I found journaling enjoyable (plus, it has helped me to mentally prepare for this baby). There are lines on each page which make it very easy to write. The pictures, of course, are fabulous. There wasn't a page to document my weight gain nor my waist expansion but there are blank pages in the front and back of the book which is where I placed this info. I would highly recommend this book if you wish to provide your baby with a glimpse of who you were before he/she entered your life. I kept pregnancy journals with my second and third pregnancies, but for some reason it never occurred to me to keep one with my first pregnancy. I've always felt like there was something missing from my collection of keepsakes because of this, so I went looking for a book I could use to record my memories from my first pregnancy. This book was *perfect* for that. It is organized by trimester instead of week-by-week, so it was OK that I didn't have exact dates for things like the first time I felt my baby move etc. It has enough questions to prompt me to write about things I might otherwise have forgotten, but the questions are broad enough that I can rely on my memory for the answers. It never asks for dates or specific things like, for example, the measurement of my belly during my eighth month, so I can be very honest when completing it even though I'm not using it as a journal so much as a memory book. I bought this book for my friend. I chose this book because of the indepth writing that the mother would be able to do. Most of the other books like this were only a few pages, this book had over 100. A mother and father could write all of their feelings and the emotional roller coaster that goes along with being pregnant. Overall, this is a great book.
