ANTIQUE ARMAND MARSEILLE 351 CHARACTER BABY - 10"

The doll measures approximately 10" in length.

Her solid domed head is free from any damage - no chips, cracks or hairlines.  She is highly coloured with just the tiniest of rub marks (barely worth mentioning) and I don't even think they are rub marks....just been done like this in the factory painting.  There is also a glaze type run that also has been done in the making and again barely noticeable but I do like to mention everything I can about the dolls I sell.  Her open mouth reveals 2 lower teeth and she has gorgeous painted tulip lips.  She has single stroked eyebrows and delicately painted upper and lower eyelashes.  She has her original hand blown blue eyes that sleep well and has all the eyelid wax intact.  She has the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also her nostrils.  One of her eyes sits slightly back from the other.  I am going to remove her head prior to posting and stuff with tissue to ensure the eyes are protected in transit.  The new owner can have this removed if they wish, or leave it like it is.  This baby has painted on auburn hair.

The back of the head is clearly incised with A.M., Germany, 351/2/0/XK.

This baby has her original bent limbed baby body that is in very good, played with condition with the original finish.  All fingers are intact.

The doll is wearing a long percale cotton white antique baby's gown that buttons up down the front.  The sleeves are a little long for her but can be turned up.  It is in lovely condition but could do with a soak in Napisan to brighten it up.  Underneath she has an antique long flannel petticoat with embroidery, vest, diaper, and matching knitted bootees, cardigan (not photographed) and bonnet.  She is just ready to display.
