Description:

Midwest Estate Buyers is pleased to offer for your consideration a fantastic antique Asian jewelry box.

I'm not positive but I think it's Chinese. The box is solid sterling silver over teak wood and it has a crushed velvet interior.

The top has a fantastic inlaid scene with many characters.

It measures 5.5" x 4" x 2.5".

It has a keyhole on the front but I do not have the key.It looks like it probably take s a skeleton key so you may be able to find one that fits.

The box unfortunatly has seen better days and has quite a bit of problems. Although the structure is sound the lid has completely com off and the strips of sterling overlay are peeling away around the inner rim. I don't believe this to be too much of a problem since the sterling can be re-attached to the base fairly easily.

The lock is in the "locked" position preventing the lid to close completely but again,you can probably use a skeleton key for this type of lock.

It has a few tiny dings but nothing significant and it really needs a good polishing. The teak is in excellent condition and is not cracked or split.

It's stamped sterling on the bottom.

Overall a very intersting and beautiful little box!

Domestic shipping:
I am happy to get your item to the post office within 48 hours after your payment has cleared.
I ship products using USPS, therefore it could take up to 14 days for your item to be delivered.
I do not have access to recycled packaging supplies and buy them brand new. Therefore I add a small handling charge to help offset my cost. I am in no way making money on inflating shipping charges. I take great pride in careful and thorough wrapping of each item regardless of final auction price. I do not skimp on bubble wrap or peanuts.This ensures your item will arrive safely and undamaged.I do not ship on Saturdays so any item paid for after mail pick up on Friday will ship on Monday. Tracking is included in the shipping price. Local pickup available upon request.

International shipping:
I am happy to get your item to the post office within 48 hours after your payment has cleared.
I ship products using USPS, therefore International shipping can take up to 30 days for your item to be delivered.I print my international shipping labels online and unfortunately the USPS is not currently offering First Class International shipping to their on-line customers therefore I am forced to charge the flat rate international envelope price of $12.90 for small items.I can however fit up to 5 small jewelry items into one flat rate envelope.You may purchase 1-5 small jewelry items from our store for one flat rate of $12.90.This does not apply to larger or heavier items of course.
Please, be aware of your local customs office for details on how you can claim items if your package has been delayed longer than 15 days above normal delivery time.
