	description (This week we're selling three last pieces of a large Khmer slek rith manuscript collection in Canada. Quite likely, you wont see those manuscripts on eBay auctions for a while.) You're bidding for a rare Khmer Buddhist manuscript. These manuscripts were used for Pali chanting services in the Hinayana tradition in Cambodian monasteries for almost ten centuries. The manuscript is written on slek rith leaves (a Khmer version of papyrus). The pages kept together by two white threads. Comes from a small temple burnt down by the Khmer Rouge troops in Kompong Cham province. L 22.5 inch, 36 slek rith sheets. A few sheets stuck together. Khmer monks stopped producing this kind of hand-written chanting books before 1920. Condition as in the photos. Please see high-resolution pictures for details. Ships in a strong hard mailing tube that protects the manuscript from damage. Canada Post US and Canadian rates are reasonable but international posting fees are quite steep, because of the length if the parcel; see shipping details below.
