ANTIQUE ENGLISH OAK DROP FRONT WRITING BUREAU, FEATURING STRETCHER STYLE BASE, AND BARLEY TWIST LEGS.

This auction is for a circa 1930 English oak, drop front writing bureau, with a lovely stretcher style base and barley twist legs. This lovely writing bureau/desk is in very good condition for its age, showing exceptional oak grains on all surfaces. The drop front, when opened operates 2 timber supports that support it, when in the open position.  The drop front door itself, is in great condition, and not warped at all, and fully lockable, and the textured leather insert, appears to be original This bureau has 2 drawers, fully dovtailed, that are in good condition, and have lovely original tear drop handles. Inside there is plenty of pidgeon holes for all your letters/documents. The bureau stands 102cm tall, 75cm wide and 40cm deep.
