Very rare & unique signed CALOF portrait brooch. Large with stunning workmanship, a hand painted? design in a jet black thermoset material. It really is truly awesome in real life! A russian lady in her fur coat amid snow capped trees. Her red coat has a metallic sheen to it depending on the angle viewed and/or sunshine. Fine gorgeous gold etching around the edges. Really a work of art! Weighs in at a substantial 10grams and measures laid flat: A large 6cms x 4cms (2 1/2" x 1 1/2" inches). It is an oval concave design for a dimensional look with a flat back and designed signed in gold lettering Calof. VERY unique, deeply inset into the rear is a safety pin closure. Never seen anything like this before. The colours are gorgeous and it is in excellent to mint condition. It may originate from Russia, l kind find nothing on this designer unfortunately.
