ANTIQUE FLORAL SILK SILVER METALLIC EMBDRD VELVET FRAG

A gorgeous embroidered silk & silver metallic embroidery on silk velvet in many colours showing a floral design dating from mid to late 1800s. 

Beautiful hand work, wonderful shading and detail, all very well executed. There is a chew on one side and three small holes, tiny bald spot & a pinhole  - all shown. The reverse has remnants of a paper backing, I think this could be removed with a little patience, see next to last picture, click on any image to supersize. Generally no fading, missing stitcing or stains, a decorative period embroidery fragment in good condition, suitable for many small textile projects. One only.

I do not seek to make money from overcharging for postage but I do have to buy packaging materials/tissue etc, a few pence is added to cover this cost. Items are posted overseas Royal Mail small packet standard airmail OR 'signed for' service which costs £3.70 to insure up to £39 plus weight, higher value items will cost £5.75 to insure + the weight of the item. UK post is sent 1st class recorded insured up to £39 or 1st class standard. Royal Mail increases postage costs on a regular basis, obviously I have no control over these costs. Likewise I am not responsible for delayed delivery due to bad weather or strikes by postal workers, it happens from time to time ! I always obtain a receipt of posting and post asap after receipt of cleared payment. Our local post office has closed so now I have to drive to the PO, I post mainly on Tuesday & Fridays.
