ANTIQUE REPRODUCTION TELEPHONE

DIAL DECOR
NEEDS WORK!
One of the 'U' shaped hooks - at the back on the left side - which form the cradle for the handset, has snapped off. This means that whilst the handset does sit OK in the cradle it is not perfect.
Also, the complete dial mechanism needs to be correctly secured; there is a set screw in the base, missing. There were 2 pins, 1 each side, at the top of the back of the dial mech. These have both broken off, so the mechanism does not sit flush inside the cavity. Should not be a major drama to fix, for the modern handyman/woman!
Apart from that, there are scuffs and scratches on the case and handset, not serious and mainly from storage. Also, there is some wear/discolour to brass sections. However, the phoen has a lot of potential - even as an ornament - althugh I am certain that this was (and possibly still is) a full working phone. I don't have an old-style wall-socket to test this with.
Manufactured by Tele-Antiques Pty. Ltd. Sydney and has an A.P.O. Permit C73-30-4.
Suggest circa late 1960's, early 1970's?
