ANTIQUE ROBERT SORBY AUGER TOOL-SCIENTIFIC CORE SAMPLER

Offered here with NO RESERVE, is an ANTIQUE ROBERT SORBY CORE SAMPLER CUTTER AUGER that I am told was made for SOIL or CHEESE CORE SAMPLING! Either way, it is definitely an auger type core sampler, with the famous ROBERT SORBY mkaers mark. It is in good condition, and has the original well worked wooden branch handle that shows years of use in it's patina, see pictures. There is a motif stamped next to makers stamp that appears to be a horse head. It may turn out to be a soil core sampling probe, please read questions to seller and additions to description to se if I am corrected. To the best of my knowledge, it was made over 100 years ago. It measures 32 1/2 inches high, handle is 15 1/2 inches wide. Pictures show condition well, as GOOD, with heaps of appeal!
