LOVELY SECRETAIRE FROM THE UK, RELUCTANT SALE OF MUCH-LOVED PIECE OF FAMILY FURNITURE.

PROBABLY OAK, PROBABLY EARLY 20TH CENTURY, WITH LEADLIGHT ARCHED DOORS, ATTRACTIVE DECORATIVE MOULDINGS TO DESK FRONT AND DOOR TRIMS, BARLEY TWIST FRONT LEGS AND HAND-CUT DOVETAIL JOINTS.

IT HAS TWO LARGE DRAWERS AND TWO ADJUSTABLE SHELVES.  INSIDE DESK ARE FIVE PIGEONHOLES AND A SMALL DRAWER FOR PENS ETC.  SECRETAIRE COMES IN TWO PIECES FOR EASE OF TRANSPORT.

THIS SECRETAIRE IS OF STURDY CONSTRUCTION AND HAS LOTS OF CHARACTER.  PLEASE NOTE THERE IS A DRAWER HANDLE MISSING AND THE GLASS DOOR LOCK IS DAMAGED ON THE INSIDE.  (CONTENTS NOT INCLUDED)
