This is an antique baby feeding spoon. The markings on the back of the handle are EPNS A1 and a 6-pointed star with S in the centre. Under the star is a boomerang shape semi-circle. Due to its age much of the silver plate has worn off, particularly on the front. The spoon measures 4.4cm in length. The bowl of the spoon is covered at one end to stop the food spilling off the spoon during feeding. The end of the handle is patterned. This has been in my family for many generations, and I believe it dates back to the 1800's. This spoon would make a wonderful addition to any antique collection.
