The year is 2073. A secret, military funded project to develop time travel launches a robot probe 100 years into the past and by doing so, changes the course of history. In a desperate attempt to correct the time paradox, scientist Nicholas Sinclair (Richard Keats - The Tiger Woods Story, Return to Two Moon Junction) is transported back in time.

When Sinclair returns to 2073, he finds a far, far different world, one where mankind is facing extermination from two equally deadly forces. Ninety percent of the world's population is dying from a deadly virus, while the remainder is battling an invincible robotic army. A horrified Sinclair recognizes these as A.P.E.X. (Advanced Prototype Extermination unit) battle robots, elite shock troops developed in his time. Sinclair has no choice but to return to the past in order to change the future.
