ARABIA Ulla Procope Design Teapot GA1: Made in Finland 1960s

Superb Ulla Procope designed ARABIA teapot. This is the smallest size teapot of the GA series and has a matt white finish. This teapot is in excellent condition for its age with no chips, cracks or blemishes. Even the cane handle is in excellent condition with only one segment of the tightly bound cane showing any sign of deterioration due to desiccation over the years. This is truely a beautiful piece of ARABIA earthen ware, and a fine example of excellence in design. The teapot stands 11 cm high with the lid in place, 9.5 cm without the lid. The cane handle stands 6 cm above the top rim of the pot when in an upright position. The body diameter approximates 12 cm at the widest point; the upper rim opening measures 6 cm and the base 6.5 cm in diameter. The green stamped Hallmark has been largely worn from the base; however, the crown is distinctly shown with ARABIA underneath. The date of production is not legible. The Ulla Procope designed GA series teapots are becoming increasingly difficult to find is such excellent condition and registered postage is highly recommended.
