ART DECO MULTI-HUED EMPIRE WARE ENGLAND SMALL CUP c1933









What a fabulous piece of Art Deco pottery from the Empire Ware factory in England. These colours would not be seen again until the psycedelic 1960's. This cup (Fluff is calling it a cup instead of a vase because it has an ever-so-slight lip to the top rim) has a drip glaze that defies description! It was made in 1933, May to be exact, because this Empire stamp was used in the 1930's. Not to mention that it is also marked "5-33". It's 7.5cm/3" tall and 6cm/2.25" in diameter. Excellent condition, just some crazing to the bottom of the piece both inside and out, but the walls are perfect. It's a dynamite mini accent piece for sure!
