Its a form of divination - of looking within and finding answers/solutions/outcomes to our inner most questions be they fears or desires, or simply a process to know the real self!
The benefits of a general reading are not really in knowing exactly what will happen - as we can't predict with such certainty, but gaining an understanding of self, and/or release from fear, blame, guilt and stress which we encounter along our life path.
I interpret to maximize release from these factors for clients, as most clients are undergoing some uncertainty about issues before seeking a reading.
Its not embellishing - but applying the metaphysical principles underlying Astrology which are based on the premise that each individual actively seeks or has a deep latent desire for the higher good. Metaphysics teaches us to continually focus on the positive - and by doing so, our joy and life's purpose can be accelerated in this lifetime.
