Jeff Carter began working as an itinerant, toiling in the fishing, fruit and sugar industries, and navvying on the roads. In 1954 he became a full-time freelance photographer selling his photographs to popular magazines. Retrospective shows an intimate insight into the variety of Australian life, and the stunning black and white images celebrate and commemorate. The front end paper has been removed due to a birthday inscription, otherwise the book is in excellent condition.
