*AUTHENTIC*1961 SPECTACULAR HOLLYWOOD SHOWGIRL COSTUME*

If you have ever come across something really rare and special, then missed out or regretted not going for it,.....then don't allow this special treasure to disappear as it is an original Hollywood collectible.......because you will regret it. There is not enough I can say about this original movie star showgirl set, in person it is truly amazing. The colours alone are unbelievable and are the epitome of late 50's early 60's silver screen glamour. This original showgirl costume has come from the movie Pocketful of Miracles and was worn by one of the lovely ladies you see in the photographs provided.

The set-costume includes the original burlesque body costume that is nude net backed with nude chiffon type fabric for real skin illusion combined with amazing back sequin art to cover your modesty and does up to the rear with a metal zipper. To finish off, this gorgeous piece has a side tail to the left that is wired and decorated with ostrich feathers in melting 50's era pink.

This outfit is definitely 50's flamingo, the original hat as shown is fitted and  richly ornate with mass of black sequins and huge side fan of pink ostrich feathers to match the suit. The finishing touch to complete the set is the original massive pale pink ostrich feather fan which I have to say is unlike any I have seen before, it is made for dancing and the bottom has large metal press studs for attaching possibly of a had wrap or to the rear derrière area of the costume.

 A very RARE item not to be missed has come from the original wardrobe. This set comes with an authenticity certificate and I will email photos to the winner to evidence the screens from the movie. The condition of this set is as follows - the costume itself has some holes to the netting and shows wear obviously from being worn for the duration of the movie. Upon inspection it show wear to the net at the crotch where it has been worn away from dancing to reveal the black satin. There are a few loose sequins and some of the ones that have been stuck on have come off. The nude netting has come away as shown to the rear at the top where it has been held to do up the zipper. If you were going to conserve would be best to replace with same netting from costume/large fabric outlets, it does have some little areas that show repairs most like from the movie as the identical fabric has been used, they may have needed to do quite a few takes before getting it perfect for the screen. The hat has some sequin loss as shown as does the hand held area for the fan, if you are a perfectionist then this would be easily remedied with replacement sequins. The other thing I noticed was the side ostrich feathers are not as lush as once and one has come out but is still attached.

All in all very very beautiful and very overwhelming in person!
