AFFORDABLE ABORIGINAL FINE ART BY NINGURA NAPURRULA SIZE: 120cm x 60cm approx. "COUNTRY" ACRYLIC ON LINEN
Ningura Napurrula was born at Watulka around 1938, south of the Kiwirrkura Community, near Ningura paints the mythological events of her Ancestors. As she paints Ningura will sing the songs for that story, her paintings are focused and depict the travels of her Ancestors and the sacred sites in her country. The designs in this painting are associated with the rock hole site of Walyuta, south-west of Mantati Outstation, about 70 km west of the Kintore Community. The roundel is the rock hole and the lines are the sand hills surrounding the area. In mythological times, an old woman passed through this site during her travels towards the east. PROVENANCE
This painting will be issued with a Certificate of Authenticity from a reputable Aboriginal fine art gallery as well as a photo of Ningura holding the painting.
