The Alinco DJ-X10E encompasses, in our view, the best balance of performance, features and value for money in a scanner currently available. Although Alinco have released a later version, in the DJ-X2000E, we question the justification of spending a further £200 for the same performance level, just to get features the average user would consider superfluous.

As is usual in a product of this level, frequency coverage is unbroken between 0.1~2000MHz, with all receiving modes available. A high light in the feature department, the Channel Scope Spectrum Analyser function allows monitoring of 40 channels at a glance. Plus Channel Scope Peak Search that during searches you can tune in the strongest signal displayed on the channel scope.

Another useful feature is the Dual VFO, which means you can toggle between totally separate frequencies which needn't be memorised.
