Our Polyester Rope unlike lower grade Nylon and Silver Rope is Kockle resistant “as pictured above” ideally suited to all power and manual anchor winch systems that use the gypsy wheel rope & chain systems. This product can also be used on drum winch systems.
This grade of 12mm Polyester rope has a breaking strain of 2.1 tonn and has been manufactured for marine use unlike Nylon and Silver rope.

This means our rope-

• will last longer when exposed to salt water and UV sun light 
• is lighter weight when wet, transferring far less water in to your vessel when retrieving your anchor
• is hard wearing giving you a longer life
• has denser fiber materials to prevent rope compressing and pulling through gypsy wheel when at anchor and while retrieving your anchor
• will have no nasty kockles in the rope causing jam ups  that could damage the motor and internal workings of your anchor winch. Please note that if the incorrect Rope is used with your anchor winch, the damage may not be covered by your manufacturers warranty.

We use a Tapered Splice from rope to chain (as pictured above) for a smooth transition from rope to chain. A standard splice will jump on the gypsy wheel and can even jam up inside your winch which is very difficult and unsafe to un-jam especially when at sea.
Our custom Tapered Slice technique has been developed over many years of boating experience.

Marine Grade Chain

We have specified this marine grade chain “not cheaper gal dipped chain” with smooth joins on link and will resist rusting unlike the gal dipped chain. The poorer grade gal chain will quickly rust transporting rust to inside of your vessel and rough joins on the link will cause damage to your gypsy wheel that will quickly wear against your rope shortening its life span dramatically.
