Anchusa Blue Angel
Anchusa capensis cv
This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.
 
Anchusa capensis is a native of South Africa where it has the common names Cape Primrose and Cape Forget-Me-Not. A vigorous herb with tall stems of blue flowers shooting up to 1 metre above the clumps of bright green leaves. Close up, the flowers have five bright blue petals and five white feathery scales in the centre.

Adaptable to most soils and surviving on very little water, it likes full sun and re-seeds readily. A biennial plant that gets a bit untidy in the second year, it will die after it sets seed if it doesn't get sufficient water in summer.

Seed can be sown at any time - sow in late summer for a spring display or sow in winter for a summer display.

Offered is a packet of  40 seeds complete with Grownotes to assist you in their propagation.
 
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
