                ICE RESCUE MEDIVAC McMURDO to CHRISTCHURCH
An NZ Air Force Hercules was due back in Christchurch from Antarctica late last night 22.9.2009 with a seriously ill American man on board. The Plan left Christchurch about 7 am after the man had cardiac problems at the United States McMurdo Station. The aircraft landed at McMurdo at 2.30 pm, refuelled and loaded the sick man on board before taking off on the return flight to Christchurch about 4 pm, The flight cover bears 3 ROSS DEPENDENCY Stamps (intern.rate$2.30) and is addressed to Chile, also 3 flight cachet and on the reverse side the Scott Base Cachet
