Power supply/operating conditions

The power supply for these antennas is provided in-line (no external power feed is required). Power is passed from the GPS through the antenna socket and at an operating voltage range of 2.5 vdc to 5vdc, which supports GPS requirements for the IQUE Pocket PC (importantly at 2.5 volts dc) This antenna has a Gain of 28db with low noise and current drain (12mA +/- 1mA @ +3.0 to 5.0V DC). It is extremely reliable, robust and popular GPS antenna. It will work well without an external metallic grounding plane. However, such a plane would improve Signal to Noise (S/N) ratio and for any antenna really.

Features

The antenna features a new toughened polycarbonate housing, and it is 100% waterproof. Very useful for marine applications. It can be mounted on metal surfaces using its built-in magnetic base
