Antique 1910 Huther Brothers Knives Ü Cutting Tools

This is an Antique 1910 Huther Brothers Knives Ü Cutting ToolsSharpening Vise which came out of a commercial Philadelphia estate and it is ingood looking and in good working condition. Huther Brothers Inc. ofRochester, New York has been manufacturing machine knives and related bladessince 1880. This is a spring loaded Huther BroÜ#39;s sharpening vise whichlikely dates back to the early 1900Ü#39;s or late 1800Ü#39;s. When you twistthe handle to the left the vise jaws are spring loaded and automatically open.upto 1.5'' in width at the top and the a 2.5'' diameter knob adjustment at the basewhich varies the angle at which you can set the vise for precisesharpening. The vise base can be permanently mounted horizontally at theedge of any table via the three 7/16'' diameter holes on the bottom. Moldedwith pride onto the edge of the vise is ''Huther BroÜ#39;s Rochester, N.Y.'' This is a rare early collectorÜ#39;s vise if you are anavid cutting tool aficionado. It measures 6''x15''x16'' and weighs 28pounds.
