Antique 1920's cabinet
This auction is for one Australian made antique 1920's display cabinet made by J.H. Smith Glebe NSW. The glass front and both sides are original and intact with no cracks. The glass front has an original "join the circle of safety" sticker on it which is worth a bit if you can get it off without destroying the sticker. The solid Queensland maple/oak frame is also solid but needs sanding and polishing. The back drawer section is removed as the pictures show, but is complete with mirrors facing inward when assembled. The glass top is not available but it wouldn't cost much to get one cut. The 6 x glass shelving inside are not pictured but are supplied in this auction. It does need a bit of work but when complete an original Australian made antique cabinet would be worth well over $1000. I had intended to restore it myself, but it has been waiting for 1 year now and I admit I just wont get around to it.
