Hello Folks! A floral treasure here today in the grand Art Nouveau style. This style is know for it's flowery good looks and this certainly fits the MO! Really gorgeous flowers on the stem and on the shade accentuated by the soft blue coloring is quite exquisite. A rare and delightful chandelier, I am very excited to present this to you today!
As shown this hangs 21" down from the ceiling and is 11" diameter. Hang length can be adjusted by adding or removing links. If you make the request before shipping we'll be happy to alter at no cost to you. I do have another 3"-4" of original chain. It's an interesting style chain what with the diagonal lines running down each link....looks a bit like twisted rope. As mentioned this is a 3 light fixture. All 3 sockets are new and the wiring has been redone. Each socket accepts a standard based bulb and is shown here with 3 60 watt Sylvania's. As shown here, she is ready for immediate and safe use in your home for many years to come. What could be better than that?
Condition. Excellent! There are no chips, cracks, or fading color to mar the beauty of this chandelier. I would call the shade color an soft cerulean blue, not opaque but translucent. Encircling the shade are clear glass flowers on this blue background. The shade has a lightly pressed in waffle texture shared by the flower finial. I've captured this texture in the close up of the shade, take a look! The shade center is clear patterned glass on which sits the double flower finial on it's brass base. The chandelier body or "stem" is a fluted vase shape leading up the the 5 florals stems radiating outwards. Each is a double flower with a tiny clear glass star shaped center. Really a beautiful affect. The ceiling cap is again a large flower with a clear glass center. So, If you like flowers you will certainly appreciate this little beauty! Hanging in your home it will put a smile on your face and bring thoughts of the upcoming spring!
Quality antique lighting is a great investment not only increasing the value of your home but it increases in value as time passes. If your restoring, renovating or building new, a fixture like this chandelier is a wise choice during a time when everything "new" loses it's value the minute you get it home! Questions?
