Antique ART NOUVEAU Pressed Metal FINGERPLATE

This is an original decorative Art Nouveau pressed metal fingerplate, circa 1900. The plate shows swirling tendril, fruit, and floral motifs and patterns typical of the Art Nouveau period. The plate has six screw holes for fixing to a door.

 

Size: approx. 11 1/2 inches x 3 inches (29 cm × 7.5 cm).

Material: Pressed metal with coppered finish.

Condition: Good. The screw holes are intact and usable. There are minor dents and edge dings from years of use and polishing. Some rust marks on the front side; more rust marks on the underside but remains superficial.
