Antique American sterling silver California souvenir spoon Charles M Robbins

This lovely sterling silver spoon is in very good condition.

The spoon is a souvenir of California and was made by Joseph Mayer and Bros c1910. Joseph Mayer and Bros were making souvenir spoons from 1895 to around 1940. The back is marked sterling and has the pick axe and shovel mark of Mayers Brothers. The pick axe and shovel mark can be seen below.

Souvenir spoon marks

The spoon has no dents or damage. There are fine scratches from use. The silver is bright and the detail good.

The spoon measures 110mm long and weighs 10.4gms

For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
