Antique Aries Ram Silver plated basket Benedict N.Y

This is a truly lovely piece of vintage silver plate, manufactured in America.

Benedict Manufacturing Company was founded in the 1890's and closed in the early 1950's. The bee mark with a "B" in each wing is a mark of this company.

Benedict are known for thier quality silver plate, and is ranked amongst the quality of brands such as Christolfe.

This basket is in very good condition for silver plate of its age, with very minor faint spotting in some places, a few light scratches and no wear through the silver plating.

It has a ornate cut design featuring as "Aries" type ram.  

It measures 27cm long, 18.5 cm wide and 25 high to the top of the handle.
