On offer is this collectible antique hardcover book: The Illustrated Family Doctor in very good used condition. This highly collectible book was printed in 1935 and was written by a GP who was the Medical Editor of the Home Doctor and the Household Encyclopedia of the time. The book gives an insight into some of the common illnesses of the era and some of the unusual treatment methods. The book contains 720 pages in total and 40 black and white plates and one coloured plate with pictures and illustrations. This includes plates showing diagrams various methods of artificial limbs of the time and their uses, how to bath a baby, how to compress someone's arteries when they're bleeding and many other varied techniques. The book is in very good used condition for its age with some wear and tear. The fabric cover has some minor wear and creasing consistent with age. There is some minor staining to the back cover and some scuffing to the edges of the covers. The inside of the book is in very good condition there is some minor staining to the pages and discolouration from age. The book is still firmly attached to the spine but the weight of the book has made the spine slightly more flexible. The book is in otherwise very good condition and is ideal for anyone who appreciates medical history or is a collector of fine antique books. Don't miss out on your chance to own this fantastic book!
