Antique Ceramic with Cherubs and Grapevine Motif.

 

A lovely piece of ceramic, there are two children collecting fruit amongst the grape vines with the assistance of two cherubs, while there are two cheruds who are sleeping with some collected fruit at their feet, the bowl is surrounded by beautiful ornate relief work.

 

This ornamental bowl “Kylix styled” has grape vines and cherubs motifs. It is ceramic with a bronze matt glaze; it has been made in two pieces and then put together. I can find no reference to this piece so I’m leaving it up to the discerning buyer to know its history. There are not cracks or chips, there is a small amount of wear to the matt glaze.

Diamensions: 15cm x 10cm high
