Antique solid silver sugar spoon Denmark 1881 Simon Groth

This lovely piece is in very good condition.

The sugar spoon is marked with the Danish silver assay mark of the three tower marks and the number 81 for the date 1881. The maker's mark is AB, and the assay master's mark is that for Simon Groth.

The spoon has fine scratches from use. There is no damage to the spoon and no repairs. There are no dents. The spoon is engraved to the back with the initials HB and has a softly gilded bowl.

The spoon is 139mm long. It weighs 22.4gms.

All my silver has been gently cleaned with non abrasive silver foam. As such there are still fine usage scratches visible. These could be polished by a professional if so desired.

For North American users a handy guide is 25mm or 2.5cm is a little less than 1 inch, so 100mm or 10cm is just less than 4 inches.
