Up for auction is this antique E N Welch cottage mantle clock in original, unrestored condition.
The wooden plinth base is missing from this clock, however the rest of the clock appears complete. It wouldn't be hard to replace the plinth to return the clock to it's full height, or alternatively this clock could be perfect for parts. There is a small piece of the decorative carving missing on the right hand side.
I'm not a clock expert, however I can confirm that the strike works properly and the winding springs have not been overwound. It requires some adjustment to enable the clock to operate properly - I'm sure it's currently unbalanced and therefore stops ticking after a minute or two. The pendulum is original as is the glass in the door. I don't have the original key for this clock, however they are readily available on eBay.
The dimensions are 36cm x 53cm x 10cm (14 inches x 21 inches x 4 inches).

unreliable. Local pickup in bayside
