This auction is for a gorgeous antique French Fashion engraving, mid to late 1800's, from Mode Illustrated Paris.  The engraving has been softly coloured in blue, brown and white.  The engraving has been framed in the early to mid 1900's.  The frame is peach pink velvet over timber and the matt bordering the picture has been covered in pink moire silk.  The frame measures 40 cm by 50 cm and the image measures 24 cm by 31 cm.  The condition of the engraving is good  ~ there are some brown spots along the top and bottom.  The moire silk surround is good.  The velvet frame is showing its age ~ a lot of allover rubbing to the velvet is the best way to describe ~ still a beautiful frame which would have been expensive to have made at the time.  I have listed another French Fashion engraving in a separate listing ~ the frame is identical ~ the engraving different.
