Occasionally in my trade I come across pieces

that will make your heart skip a beat,

this set is definately no exemption.

Grand & Magestic are the best words used to describe this

"Antique French Gilt Bronze Garniture Set"

Starting price is not an indication of market value.

Today I offer an exclusive three piece

gilt bronze garniture clock set.

It is called "The Golden Sun" and was produced

by P. Lagache in France.

The clock and candelabras are made from the finest bronze

finished in gold gilt with surpurb results and can be dated to

 the early 1900's or earlier.

Be sure to click on the photos to enlarge them to have a closer

look at the fine detailing and read the measurements below as

this set is larger then the photos portray.

On the enamelled dial it reads:

AV SOLEIL D'OR

P. LAGACHE

LILLE

which translates in english to:

THE GOLDEN SUN

P. LAGACHE

LILLE

The enamelled dial is in good condition although there is a

little damage between the four and five, and also around the

key hole which is typical of the enamelled dials. It is protected

by its original convex glass and hinged door.

The clock is enhanced by the pair of monumental candelabras

which are truely a first quality work of art, large enough to

have an impact in any room.

The craftsmanship that has been conducted on this lovely set

has been carried out with precise precision, leaving no detail

 untouched.

Imagine the granduer this set will repel in your home...

Measurements:

Clock -

Height - 49cm (19")

Width - 28cm (11")

Depth - 13cm (5")

Candelabras -

Height - 47cm (18.5")

Width - 20cm (8")

Comes with pendulum and key (not sure if they are original).

This set comes in very good condition and will be a showpiece

 amongst any clock collection.

The clock works fine and has a solid tick and will need some

adjusting as the time moves a little fast.

Some clocks may need some slight adjustment and setting

up after going through the postal service to put them back

into beat.

PLEASE NOTE:

Due to the expected closing price of this set payment would be

prefered by bank deposit or cheque.
