Beautiful antique green onyx French Japy Freres c1878 Clock.

Measures: 44cm tall (17.5 inches). Clock is 23.5cm wide (9 inches approx.) and 14cm deep (5.5 inches).
Beautiful antique c1878 Japy Freres French mantel Clock. One of the worlds' best known and most favored clock makers produced this wonderful French time piece. Stamped and dated by the maker, the Clock is in perfect working order having been recently serviced and cleaned, ready to enjoy. The clock strikes on the half-hour and the hour, and comes with pendulum and key. The case is green onyx, enhanced by ormolu mounts, and surmounted with an ormolu and onyx finial. The white enamel face is very pretty and displays a decorative floral half-circlet. There is a fine hairling between the 7 and the 8 - you should be able to see this in the pictures. There is also a fine hairline to the onyx on the top finial.
