The character developed over years of use is individual to each piece that we offer for sale. We will mention anything that we consider to be beyond the reasonable result of those years of use. View the photos and if there is anything that you need clarified please ask. Bumps and bruises to the timber a little more than consistent with age and use. At some time during its life it was painted and small remnants of paint remain. There are some splits to the timber that were there long before we owned it and they have not increased in size over the two years we have enjoyed sitting in it on our verandah. A previous owner added a couple of nails to strengthen the arms but they did not trouble us; we love rustic charm. It comes complete with foam mattress and I use a single bed sheet to cover the mattress when it was at our home as it was easy to remove and wash.
Overall ~ Just gorgeous.

* Our furniture is always pre-loved, mostly antiques, some in original condition, some restored. Over lifetimes of use each piece has developed its own character and patina which antique lovers expect as an integral aspect of age. Our photos and description are there to help you assess the item for sale but it is up to you to decide if the item is suitable for you. Our items are sold AS IS, and we therefore welcome inspection at our Smeaton Grange showrooms. We are 2 minutes from the Narellan Road exit from the M5, and 5 minutes from the centre of historic Camden. If you cannot inspect in person, please ask any questions before you bid, and if you are not satisfied of the suitability of the item for your purposes DO NOT BID as returns are not accepted on these items.
* *Because* storage space is limited, items must be collected within 14 days of the auction ending or storage charges may apply. It is the buyer's responsibility to have suitable transport and assistance to load items. Items held for more than 6 months will be donated to charity.
