This beautifully crafted cue rack was made in the mid 1800's and came from the exclusive "gentlemen only" private members' club in Melbourne called "The South Yarra" club when it closed down in the 1980's. It is in excellent condition. A similar rack on ebay.uk is listed at a starting price of UK pounds 450.00 while another one is listed on chalkers.com at $3,500 and while very similar in other respects, both of those racks only have plain cylindrical support columns while this one has the "barley sugar" style turned support columns as you can clearly see in the photo.
The rack is about 1.1 to 1.2 metres high and the base is about 50cm across, and it is designed to hold 7 cues or rests etc along each of its 3 sides.
I am prepared to organise postage/freight to other states in Australia at the buyer's expense.
