This auction is for the late 2005 model 15 inch PowerBook.  This was the last 15" model released.  I bought it November 2005.  The hard drive finally failed recently so this auction is primarily geared towards those who like to tinker and would make a great 2nd machine (note: the failed hard drive will not be included).  I had extra RAM (DDR2) added when I bought it, so now it has a total 2GB RAM as I recall.

Unlucky for me, I had just spent $40 on the stick-on vinyl graphic you see in the photo.  It is artwork by US artist Tara MacPherson, well known in the graphics / illustrator / collectable toy market.  I also paid to have Next Byte look at the system, who confirmed the hard drive failed.

Also note: the DVD Super Drive failed a year or more ago, so keep in mind this machine is for parts or to add back at least a hard drive to use it as a primary machine.  I just ran an external DVD drive.  I have the original installation discs & power cord included in this auction, but keep in mind if you only replace the hard drive, you'll need to install the Tiger disc via a firewire external drive or another Mac via Remote Disc (also running Tiger).
Well, I paid $75 to find that out, hopefully you'll benefit from it, but for me I didn't have what was needed.

Also, as a disclaimer, the vinyl sticker graphic is there for a reason...there is some extremely crude language in texta written / scratched on the front by a 3rd party, plus slight surface lines where a previous film underneath was removed. Do not buy this if you intend removing the graphic.  The condition of the rest of the body is extremely good & well looked after, so with the graphic the condition as is looks impressive given its age. There are no issues with the screen / display or trackpad.

Please read these conditions closely and only bid if the PowerBook in it's current state is what you are looking for. There will be no refund if you don't understand what has been described.
