POWERBOOK G4 TITANIUM (TiBook) 1GHZ, 1GB RAM, 80GB HDD, DVD SuperDrive 'RegionFree'
It is time to let this great PowerBook go. It served me very well and had no real issues (apart from a battery which has been replaced 3 years ago and a keyboard which has been replaced as well). I used the 1 GHz G4 Ti PowerBook as my desktop-replacement, but have up (*or down- ?) graded my system and I now use a dedicated desktop machine. It has some minor scratches which I tried to show in the pictures taken. The battery has been replaced 3 years ago, the HDD has been upgraded to 80GB (Samsung MP0804H 5400rpm with SMART technology). The SuperDrive DVD had a Firmware upgrade and is no 'Region Free' (with RegionX). I am currently running OsX 10.5.8 on it without any problems (see pics), but it will come with a fresh install of Apple Os X Tiger. The PB G4 Ti comes with system disks, original battery charger, carrying handle (see pics) -which can also be used to put the whole computer at an angle so it is easier on your wrists to type!
NO DEAD PIXELS, NO STUCK PIXELS
The PowerBook G4/1.0 features a 1.0 GHz PowerPC 7455 (G4) processor with the AltiVec "Velocity Engine" vector processing unit, 256k on chip level 2 cache, and 1.0 MB level 3 cache, 1 GB of PC133 SDRAM, a 80 GB Ultra ATA/66 hard drive (5400 RPM), a slot-loading 1X DVD-R/CD-RW "SuperDrive", pre-installed AirPort (802.11b), and ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 (4X AGP) graphics with 64 MB of DDR SDRAM in a 1-inch thick Titanium case with a 15.2" TFT display (1280x854 native resolution).
Compared to the PowerBook G4/800 that it replaced, the PowerBook G4/1GHz is quite similar, but has a faster processor, improved graphics, and a built-in "SuperDrive". The SuperDrive addition is particularly notable as this was the first notebook to ship standard with a drive capable of writing DVD media.
