Hardiness:   USDA Hardiness Zone 9. The plant does not tolerate snow, but can tolerate occasional freezing spells of about - 5° C (the typical morning frost of central Chile).   
Light Requirement:   Fully exposed to the sun. Level areas or slopes facing north.   Some shadow. Some protection against direct sunlight, some shadow from vegetation, filtering about 20 - 40 f light.   
Water Requirement:   Dry, arid areas, with long drought periods of 6 - 10 months. Precipitations of 100 mm - 300 mm. are concentrated in winter.   Somewhat dry areas where the drought may last 3 - 5 months. Precipitations of 400 - 800 mm. are concentrated in winter.

We offer  a flat rate of 4 USD for shipping any number of packets  purchased through Ebay.

Normally we ship within 2-3 days of payment, but during peak season (spring) it may take somewhat longer. We use regular registered priority mail, which takes about 10 - 16 days to the US and Canada, and about 14 - 18 days to Europe and the rest of the world, although in extreme cases it may take up to a month.  We can also ship by courier (marginally faster, marginally safer, and considerably more expensive (minimum 60 USD, but with this you will get a phytosanitary certificate)). There is no magic wand to get the seeds from Chile to you in a wink of an eye... The patience is the gardener's best virtue, and if you want to get really fresh and viable seeds from the source, you are at the right place!


Insurance & Lost Shipments


We do not offer a shipping insurance. However, should your shipment be lost for any reason (including retention at the destination county customs), we will reship the same items.


Returns & Refunds

We do not accept returns, and any parcel returned to Chile will probably be retained by the Chilean customs and destroyed. They are very pesky about bringing in some plague! That is also the reason that we do not refund money.

Should you be dissatisfied with any of our seeds, please write us and explain the reasons, and we will send replacement seeds or seeds of a different species.
