Arlan 640-900 or 630-900 Long Range Wireless Bridge.

For Sale is a Arlan or Air-I/O 900 mhz Wireless Access Point 630 reconfigured as a 640 Wireless Bridge. The Firmware 5.23 has been installed to modify the unit.

This unit is used and in Good condition and tested. There may be a few surface marks from removing old stickers and labels.

These units are Great for extending out a Wireless Internet network over long distances (up to 6 miles in the right conditions and right antenna's).

These are 900 mhz.  Better range.

I have used them personally at up to 1 km without errors using outdoor omni antenna's. These are  slower (860 Kbps) than the newer 2.4 ghz units but can go much longer distances. Where a dial up connection is the only answer living on the fringes, these units can be used to Bridge a internet connection from someone who is relatively close and on the high speed internet. These can deliver internet speeds up to 10x faster than dialup.

****These Units are meant to be used in pairs to bridge networks. You have a Root Bridge at the Source and a repeater ( or workgroup bridge) at the destination.
